Ugly Knee Card

Here is a card I made for one of my sideline demonstrator friends that had knee surgery about a month and a half ago.

I knew I didn't want to make her just any old get well card...so this is what I came up with! A representation of what I thought her knee might look like after her surgery!
I free-hand drew the legs and the pants, cut them out, gave one of the knees a nasty "inky" bruise using sponges, added a few staples to represent the stitches, wrapped a Twill Tape bandage around the ugly knee and assembled it all to look like legs resting on a chair post operation!

I had a lot of fun making this card and am happy that she is doing great.

Lou and the Flu

Here is a card I recently sent my stamping friend Lou over at Lou's Goods because she has the Swine Flu! I thought she would get a kick out of this little guy and I think she did! I hope it brightened her day a bit.

I made the whole card without stamping anything! I love punch art and for this project, it was perfect!



Here is an angled view of the pig and his tissues. You can see his little ears flopping off the card and that the tissues are "real".

I hope this poor little pig and Lou feel better soon!

Bunny in a Basket for Grandma

Here is a card I sent my Grandma who just had hip surgery. I hope it brightened her day!

I Aqua painted the image that was stamped on Water Color paper using Black Staz On. The little "get well wishes" sentiment is from the new stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. The ribbon is White Taffeta and I used the Eyelet border punch to add a little detail to the Rose Red card stock. The card measures 4 1/4" X 4 1/4". It was a pretty simple card to make.
