Joy, Snow and Noel Blocks

Now that Christmas is less than a month away, I figured I better start showing a few Christmas things!

Here is a set of the Decor Element Blocks that I made. They are in the Holiday Mini catalog and are so fun to make! I used the Holiday Mix Decor Elements in Real Red and Chocolate, also in the Holiday Mini. My blocks will spell "Joy", "Snow" or "Noel" depending on how they are arranged.

My color scheme for these blocks was Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Whisper White. I used various DSP's, card stocks, ribbon and embellishments to make them. What a fun project to make a so easily adaptable to other holiday or events as well!

Christmas Shadow

This is a shadow box that I made using a SU Decore Element. It was sooo easy to make and didn't take much time at all!

The Decore Element is in Chocolate Chip and the paper behind it is the Riding Hood Red prints pack from the current catalog.














This picture show the "shadow" better. These kinds of shadow boxes are all over Splitcoat, and a lot of them have things in the shadow box, but I decided to leave mine empty.

Snowflake Shimmer's

These are the Snowflake Shimmer Decor Decals from Stampin's Up's Holiday Mini Catalog! I wasn't going to get them, but them I decided why not! I am happy that I did order them, because I really like them. They are removable and reusable! It is hard taking a picture of them, but I think you will get the idea.

I put 6-8 snowflakes each on our bigger windows in the two opposite corners. So 3 to 4 snowflakes in the upper left corner of the window and 3 to 4 snowflakes in the lower right corner of the window. I did this so you could still see out the window with out seeing huge snowflakes all over! I think they look good, and not too over powering.

Decore Elements

Stampin' Up! (SU) recently came out with a new product line.....Decore Elements! These self-adhesive vinyl designs coordinate with many of SU's existing products. They are super easy to apply and just as easy to remove. They are a great way to add a decorative touch to your home. They can be applied to any smooth clean surface (they recommend not using them on textured walls, but I did and they worked just fine!)

I put up my first Decore Elements, and they were so easy! I used the Manhatten Flower's and the Create Definition. (The flowers are the craft color and the definition is chocolate chip.) For the Create Definition, I painted a canvas and then applied the Manhatten flowers, and then the definition. I liked the way it turned out. So after I did that one, I had parts of the flowers left, so I put them around my window in my craft room! I think they look good too! What do you think?
