For you- PPA31, CTD81

Over at Pals Paper Arts this week they have a inspiration challenge. It is this group of four images. I decided to combine it with this weeks Color Throwdown color challenge to use brown, pink/white and olive. As soon as I saw the inspiration challenge I knew I was going to use the bird in the bird cage stamp from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Happy Moments and I thought the colors would work too!

Here is what I came up with. I stamped the image on Whisper White card stock by coloring the stamp with my Stampin' Write markers and then "huffed" the stamp to keep it moist.

Then I added the Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon bow to the top of the cage. The sentiment on the little tag is from the Happy Moments stamp set as well.

Elegant Egg-let Flower- Color Throwdown #77

This week the Color Throwdown team has a refreshing color combo with Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery. What great colors to work with!

Here is what I came up with. The Elegant Eggplant flower was made using the Eyelet Border Punch, what a fun and easy way to make paper flowers in any color you want!

I added a Clear Rhinestone brad to the center of the flower and a piece of the new Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon as the leaves to complete the flower. I mounted the flower onto a Kiss from the Occasions Mini catalog.

I covered the Baja Breeze card stock with a piece of Vellum card stock I sent through my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder and then sewed them together and mounted it onto the Whisper White card base. The sentiment on the banner is from the new stamp set Messages for Mom.

Saffron Duck- Color Throwdown #76

I have seen the Color Throwdown color challenges all over and decided this week to give it a try! This week the colors are So Saffron, Melon Mambo and Old Olive. They are bright fun colors to work with!
Here what I came up with. I know the Melon Mambo is hard to see but I could not make it work the way I was thinking it would, so the small little Melon Mambo flowers will have to do.

The duck is from the retired stamp set Wagon Full of Fun. I love water coloring this little guy, he is so fun. I put the Old Olive card front through my Big Shot with the SU! Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder, added the So Saffron ribbon and card stock, mounted the duck on a piece of Old Olive card stock and then mounted him on the card base and called it good!
