Arielle over at Colour Q Challenge has another great color combo this week for her 17th challenge. The colors are Real Red, Bashful Blue, Taken with Teal, Basic Black and Whisper White. What fun bright colors to work with!
I used a stencil and classic ink to get the flower image, something I Learned at Leadership a few weeks ago. The stencil I used comes from the Elegant Trio set in the Definitely Decorative catalog add in. I used a sponge dauber with Bashful Blue (middle of the flower) and Taken with Teal (outer part of the flower) classic ink to color the flower. It worked great!
I cut out the flower added a Red Circle Fire Rhinestone and mounted it on the Real Red card stock with dimentionals.
I thought the card needed a sentiment, but something that didn't take away from the bold main image, so I die cut some Basic Black card stock using my Big Shot and the Naturally Serif sizzlits decorative strip die and glued them onto the Basic Black card stock card base. I think it added a nice subtle touch.
Thanks for looking!
