I'm a MDS Contest Finalist!!!
I have some exciting news today!!! I recently entered a contest in which I had to make one scrapbook page and one card using Stampin' Up!'s digital design software called My Digital Studio. I received a call a few weeks ago notifying me that I was chosen as a "finalist" (top 5) and I was super super excited!! To become a "winner" (top 3) I need as many votes as possible for my projects. This is where I need your (and everyone you knows) help!!! Please vote for my projects!
Here is how you vote:
- Follow this link (it will take you to my projects): http://mydigitalstudio.net/page/contests-rochelle-g
- Click on the "Like" Button (the one with the thumb next to it)
- Sign in using your existing Facebook, Google or Yahoo account and create a MyDigitalStudio.net. account.
- And you are done!
Voting is open today, October 31, 2011, till this Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:59 PM MST.
If you have any questions, please let me know! I would love to answer any you may have about My Digital Studio!
Thanks again!

Artisan Award Finalist!
As some of you may know I entered Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Award contest this year again (last year was my first year). You make 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages and 2 3-d items and submit them to Stampin' Up! and then they take it from there! It is such a great experience and a lot of hard work but worth it in the end when you see your projects displayed on the display boards at convention!
I did not have the honor of being in the top 10 (the winners), but I did make the "finalist" list again. (that means I was in the top 25 of all the demonstrators that entered!!)
Over the next week I will be uploading my projects I submitted. So be on the look out for My Artisan Award 2011 Submission blog posts! (There will be 10 in all!)

8 Things About Me Award- MDS
Noelle over at paper & ICE has given me the Stylish Blogger Award. Thanks Noelle! I feel honored! I met Noelle over at the colourQ blog as she is a fellow DT member! She is a stamper and scrapper and always puts so many details in her scrapbook pages! Check out her blog!So the "rules" to this award are to share 8 things about yourself and then pass the award along to a few other Stylish Bloggers.
I usually am not good about
sharing things about me, but I came up with a fun scrapbook page that does just that! Here is is. You can click on the page to make it bigger and so you can read 8 things about me! I used the ScrapSketch25 layout to make my page. I felt it was perfect for this page!
I made this page in My Digital Studio (MDS) as I do with all of my digital pages. Stampin' Up! just released the newest updated version and is has some FANTASTIC updates!! Be sure to check it out if you have MDS (it is a free update) and if you do not and are interested, let me know!
Alight, so the people I am going to pass this award onto are: Krystal, Erica and Stacy. Be sure to check out each of these ladies blogs...they all offer a little something different! Thanks again Noelle!
Thanks for looking!

Share What You Love- Stampin' Up! Convention 2010 re-cap
Where do I start?! Last week was Stampin' Up!'s annual convention and it was a blast as usual! I went with a group of demo's from my area and had a great time! I will give you a brief overview of the week:
My friend and roommate for the week, Lou, and I arrived a day early and went to dinner with a friend of mine and rested up for the big week ahead of us!
Day 1:
Check in and receive your bag and free stamp sets from SU!. Go shopping in Momento Mall(this is a store SU! sets up with all kinds of fun stuff for us to buy!). Visit the display boards and see all the projects that demo's submitted to SU! Walk through the Sweet Shoppe that SU! made (it was set up like a cady store and EVERYTHING you could images was made out of paper and establishments!) Attend SU!'s Flower Power Party (a 60's themed party with giveaways demonstrations and games)...oh yeah eat dinner with your demo friends! Sleep!
Day 2:
Attend Opening General Session (where all 2000+ demos in attendance meet for the morning to listen to the motivational speaker, see fabulous demonstrations, learn new and exciting things and win free stamps!!..it is like a huge party for people who love SU!) Then eat lunch provided by SU and participate in an organized swap (I signed up for one put on by Stacey from Stacy's Stamping Stage.) That afternoon attend classes and learn all kinds of things related to stamping and even do "make and takes"! (I hosted an organized Big Shot Book swap right after classes today too!) After classes eat dinner with demo friends and then attend Awards Night and find out I WAS on the FINALIST list for Artisan Award!! (This is not the top ten, but this does mean I was in the top 25 of all the people who submitted projects this year and I got to stand up and be super excited...it was a complete surprise!!! I will be posting the projects I submitted on my blog here soon!) After Awards there was live entertainment! Sleep!
Day 3:
Attend General Session in the morning, eat lunch and then attend classes in the afternoon. (I hosted my second organized Big Shot book swap right after classes today too!) Go to dinner with a sideline, my up-up line and another demo friend and talk stamping. Look through swaps we received and get some new ideas! Sleep!
Day 4:
Attend a General Session that Shelli and her daughter Sara put on to show us new and exciting projects with new and exciting products!! (coming soon! ;) ) Attend one more class, then eat lunch and then attend the Closing General Session and get more FREE products and learn more new cool ideas!! Eat dinner with my roommate, Lou. Sleep!
We got home the next day exhausted but inspired and re-energized to create new things!
Convention is always such a blast and SU! always seems to amaze me with everything they do to put on this incredible event! Thanks Stampin' Up!
That's it! My Convention 2010 re-cap!
