Green Presto POP!

Here is a super simple but impressive card to make for for any occasion! I was inspired by Julie's card here to make mine. (go check out her blog too..she's got some cute stuff!) I changed it a bit, by making it into a full "normal" card and by adding a sentiment.

If you haven't seen or used the Presto Patterns DSP in the catalog, you are missing out! This was my first time using it and I love it! It is just like the emboss resist technique, but half of the work is done for you!

I sponge daubed Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke classic ink's onto the piece of the Presto Pattern's DSP and watched the pattern POP, mounted it onto the Whisper White card base, added the 5/8" Certainly Celery Satin ribbon, stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Curly Cute and it was done! Simple, quick and impressive!

SU! Color Renovation!

If you haven't heard Stampin' Up! is going to do a color renovation which will take place in the up-coming 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog that starts July 1. I wanted to let you see the changes now, so you have time to order colors that we are bidding a fond farewell too and to get you excited about the new colors that will make up the new color collections!

Here are the colors that will not be returning in the new Idea Book and Catalog:

I am very excited about this renovation/change and I hope you are too! If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know!

Spooky Branch Tree and Bats

Here is another Halloween card I made. This card features Vellum card stock. It is hard to see in the picture, but there is a layer of vellum over the Whisper White card stock. This gives it a little more of a layered-spooky look.

The card uses the Branch Out and the Halloween Frights Stamp sets and the retired Canvas background stamp. I stamped the card base, Soft Suede, with the Canvas background stamp in Soft Suede ink. Then I sponged the hill and the moon on the Whisper White card stock by doing some masking. I then took a piece of Vellum card stock the same size as the Whisper White card stock and stamped the tree using Black Staz On onto the vellum. I finished off the card by making a few of the bats using the scalloped square punch and adding the sentiment from the Halloween Frights stamp set.

New Taste of Textiles paper!!

I just got this new Taste of Textiles paper from SU. The picture does not do it justice! So I will try to describe it a little.

Starting on the far left is the Basic Black textured Linen paper. Second is the Bronze Metallic that shimmers in the light so nicely. The third one is vellum with Not Quite Navy dots printed on it...how cool! The next one is the pin striped white shimmery paper, that I think would be really pretty for a wedding. And last but not least is the Kraft striped paper, that I really like, that will be a great subtle background for anything.

The pack of paper comes with two of each sheet of paper and can be found on page 156 of the Spring Summer Catalog.

I hope you enjoy!
