Arielle had some fun summer colors this week for her colourQ Color Challenge and Create with Connie and Mary had fun sketch challenging this week, so I decided to combine the two into one card. The colors Arielle had were Melon Mambo, Cameo Coral, Bermuda Bay, Barley Banana and Whisper White.
I knew I was going to do something summer-y with the colors and then when I saw the sketch an idea just popped into my head! And this is what it was... a big 'ol bright sun and water scene! As you can see I rotated the sketch from a vertical card to a horizontal card. I used Barley Banana for the Sun, Bermuda Bay for the water and the sky (it has a piece of Vellum card stock over it to tone it down just a bit), Cameo Coral and Melon Mambo for the panel the sun is mounted on and Whisper White for the clouds.
I finished off the card by adding the Bermuda Bay ribbon, a few Large White Brads and a small sentiment punched out using the Medium Jewelery Tag punch.
Thanks for looking!

This is a great card and a fun way to think outside the sketch. Thanks for sharing!
Super cute, Rochelle! I love how you handled these "challenging" colors. I find myself gravitating towards these punch art cards, no stamping....gasp! They are addicting!
