Patriotic Stars and Stripes- CCCCact36

I have not done a Curtain Call Color Challenge in a while, so I decided I needed to do it this week! I love them and miss it when I do not do one! This week Stacey has a great inspiration photo and colors for this up coming weekend here in the U.S....Independence day!

Here is what I came up with! A bold patriotic card! I started with a Crumb Cake (Kraft) card stock base and then stamped the retired Canvas background in Crumb Cake ink on it. Then I "dirtied" it up a bit with a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink. Then I made my textured Real Red and Whisper White stripes and "dirtied" them up a bit with the Crumb Cake ink. I then punched out three circles of Crumb Cake card stock and stamped and "dirtied" them too. Then I added the Night of Navy stars to the circles using brads. I used the Rough Type Alphabet to stamp "USA" in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.

I finished off the card by curling the corners of the striped panel up and distressing the whole card just a little.

Thanks for looking!

I do love your layered and distressed stars! So glad you joined us again this week! I have been soooo strapped for free time. I've been wanting to join your Stampin' Celebration challenges. It's just been impossible. I'm beginning to think I should have taken the summer off from blogging...it's that bad! I'll get to it join you one of these days.
