Spooky Branch Tree and Bats

Here is another Halloween card I made. This card features Vellum card stock. It is hard to see in the picture, but there is a layer of vellum over the Whisper White card stock. This gives it a little more of a layered-spooky look.

The card uses the Branch Out and the Halloween Frights Stamp sets and the retired Canvas background stamp. I stamped the card base, Soft Suede, with the Canvas background stamp in Soft Suede ink. Then I sponged the hill and the moon on the Whisper White card stock by doing some masking. I then took a piece of Vellum card stock the same size as the Whisper White card stock and stamped the tree using Black Staz On onto the vellum. I finished off the card by making a few of the bats using the scalloped square punch and adding the sentiment from the Halloween Frights stamp set.

Thanks for looking!

Love this card...as well as the others on your blog. You are SO creative! I really like your idea of giving your stamp club three items and then have them bring their finished product to the next meeting. I would like to borrow this idea for my stamp club. Would that be okay?

LOVE the bats from the scallop square!

Very clever and I know I will be using that idea over and over again.

Thanks for sharing your great Halloween card.
