February $5 Friday!

Here was the first card we made for $5 Friday this month. This card uses the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly, which I have never really played around with until the other day, and it is a fun stamp set!

The card's main colors are Riding Hood Red, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. The DSP is from the Washington Apple pack. The ribbon is the 5/8" Striped Grosgrain in Riding Hood Red. I used my Crop-A-Dile and three white eyelets to add the finishing touch to the card.

The next card we made was this card using the new Branch Out Stamp set. This set has soo much potential and I will be using it a lot more!

The colors for this card are Basic Black, Bordering Blue, Whisper White and Kraft (I really like all these colors together!)

The Kraft paper comes from the new Taste of Textiles paper from SU! I used my Big Shot again with the Stampin' Up! Background 1 (biggest dots) texturz plate (I love those dots...they seem to go with everything!) to texture the Bordering Blue card stock. The ribbon is the new Organza ribbon in Whisper White. The sentiment came from the stamp set Mark the Date.

I think this card could easily be used for a man, it is not to girly at all!
