Mothers Day and a Christmas Card? MDS Blog Hop

Welcome to the MDS Blog Hop!  This week out theme is to use Retiring Digital content CD's!  This was a great for me because it made me use them and then remember how versatile all of the downloads really are!  I used the Cheerful Treat CD for both of the projects I made this week! (click on the projects to see them bigger!)

Here is the first project I did.  It is a 12x12 scrapbook page of Mother's Day.  The Cheerful Treat CD went perfectly with the pictures we had taken on Mother's Day.  I also used the Downtown Gunge kit for the frames around the pictures.  The title is made using the Timeless Type Alphabet punches.

The second project I made this week I thought of while I was making my scrapbook page.  I had used the leaves embellishment from the CD and as soon as I saw it this card popped into my head!

I know, it is a little out of season, but just think, if you made your Christmas Cards now how ahead of the game you would feel come December!  I used the same background DSP and the leaves embellishment as I did on my page but added a few red brads to the leave and added a text box, some stitching and the card was done!

Are you ready to hop on over to the next blog? The easiest way to do so is to click on the name right below mine, so that would be Mandy and then from her blog hop on over to Julie's blog and so on until you have hopped a full circle back to here!
