Trio of Cupcakes- SCIC43

It's Friday and that means yesterday was Thursday and that means it is time for another Stampin' Celebration Inspiration challenge! (Yes, I am late....eeek!) This week we are celebrating St. Patrick's day with a lot of chocolate!

I kind of had a hard time creating something this week, because I really didn't need another St. Partick's day card and as you can see from the inspiration pictures they scream St. Patrick's day, but I decided to focus on those yummy looking chocolate cupcakes.

Here is what I came up with, a trio of Early Espresso cupcakes adorned with a few Pear Pizzazz sprinkles!

I used the Build a Cupcake punch to make the cupcakes and did a little something different with the frosting....can you see it has a a little different shape to it than the normal frosting shape the punch punches?

Here is what I did with the frosting. I inserted a piece of Early Espresso card stock that had a Decorative Label already punched out of it into the Build a Cupcake punch and arranged it as the picture to the right shows and there you go, frosting that looks a little different! I think it looks a little more realistic.

Here is a close up. You can see the sprinkles on top of the cupcakes are the little tiny hearts from the Pinking Hearts Border punch.

I hope to see your creation over at the Stampin' Celebration this week too! You never know, you may be the next "Party Guest" Designer with us!

Thanks for looking!

Oh the frosting does look much better. Guess I am going to have to play with the idea as I can't really figure out how you did by the arrow. Looks so yummy, I will pretend it is my birthday card which is 3/17! Thanks for sharing what you can do with a bit of change.

Thanks for sharing your technique for the frosting Rochelle! I didn't buy that set and punch as I didn't love the shape. I LOVE your shaping of it though!!! Now it's on my list. Great card!
