Mischievous Monkey- cQc#49

Arielle over at the colourQ has the perfect color combo this week for a card I need to make for my cousin who is having a baby boy! The theme for the baby is monkey's and wen I saw these colors, I knew I could make them work for a baby boy monkey themed card! They are Soft Suede, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Marina Mist and Whisper White.

Here is what I came up with, a mischievous monkey! I had a lot of fun putting this card together and deciding what I wanted to do with it.

I promise all I used to make this card were the colors from this week plus a teeny tiny Basic Black. I got the lighter parts of him my sponging Soft Suede onto Whisper White card stock.

I used all SU! punches to make him and the "baby Boy" letters were die cut using the Big Shot. I added a little bit of
hair to his head by fraying a small piece of ribbon. The Marina Mist background has some clouds sponged onto it using Marina Mist Classic ink and Whisper White Craft ink and a scalloped circle as the template.

I was thinking this could also be a decoration for the baby's room if it was framed and hung on the wall!

Thanks for looking!

P.S. Be sure to check back here frequently in the next week or so.....I have one free subscription to the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition to give away!! And be sure to check out the Create with Connie and Mary blog tomorrow...the preview period starts then!

Rochelle, What a clever idea to have the monkey peeking through! Another thing I love is the little tuft of "hair". Just a really great card and you used the colours so well.
