Vintage Tulips- SCIC16

It's Thursday! And that means there is a new inspiration challenge over at the Stampin' Celebration blog! Look at those inspiration photos....such rich earthy colors!

When I saw this picture this week I knew my card was going to have green and red in it and those two colors say Christmas to me....but when you throw in a little Crumb Cake....they are not Christmas at all!

Here is what I came up with! The colors I used were Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Wild Wasabi (yumm...don't those colors all sound like you could eat them?!) I sponged all the card stocks that I used on the card to make it more vintage/bold.

I used the wing from the Two Step Bird Extra Large punch to make the tulips and their leaves. The Crumb Cake background was sent through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder.

The sentiment is from the stamp set Great Friends and was stamped onto a banner with a little bit of a "wave" to it. I added a few of the new Neutrals brads in Crumb Cake to finish the card off.

I hope you have time this week to play along! Even if you can't play, make sure you check out the other design team members projects this week on the Stampin' Celebration blog!

Thanks for looking!

This card is absolutely Gorgeous!!! I love the color combinations and it also reminds me that I need to make a 50th Wedding anniversary card so I might be a copy cat and use your card for inspiration. Thanks for sharing this awesome card!
