Fresh Trendy Tree- CCCCact21

Stacey has some refreshing colors this week for her Curtain Call Color Challenge. They are Always Artichoke, Barley Banana, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. I missed last week, so I knew I had to play this week!

Here is what I came up with! A light and bright card. I started off knowing I wanted to use the Trendy Tree stamp set. So I stamped the trunk in Always Artichoke and then the leafs in Certainly Celery. I then took my Always Artichoke marker and colored a few of the leafs with it. I then sponged the Barley Banana sun using a sponge dauber.

To make the hill I took a piece of Certainly Celery card stock and snipped it to make it grassy and then sponged a little bit of ink on it.

I used the Eyelet border punch on the bottom of the Whisper White card stock that is mounted onto the Whisper White card base. (It is hard to see in the picture.) I tied a piece of Certainly Celery Satin ribbon around the hill in a bow and added a few white Jumbo Brads to the card to finish it off.

Thanks for looking!

What!? Rochelle, this is super duper fantastic...my jaw, seriously, dropped to the floor:) The snipped grass, sponged tree and sun (genious), and the general clean & simple look is FAB! Thanks for playing the Curtain Call, my amazing convention friend!

Rochelle, The card is beautiful! I also love your purse! I have been wanting to do one. I even have fabric out! Thanks for commenting on my husband! He is home for 10 days now so I have been really occupied. When I lived in Trinidad, my daffodils were always late blooming. I did not get to dig up any of my flowers and the ones I had in large containers were left because I did not have room to move them. Yours will be up when the snow is gone. I do miss the Colorado snow! We have been planting like crazy the last few days. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I am going to add you to my favorites!
