3rd Birthday Bear Boy

There are endless possibilities of what you could do with the new Build a Bear line that Stampin' Up! just launched today. Here is a card I made for a little boy who turned 3 yesterday. I made the boy bear using the brand new exclusive Build a Bear Die from Stampin' Up! that is available today in the Holiday Mini Catalog! (If you need a copy of the mini, let me know and I will get one right to you!)

He was so fun and easy to dress and make. If you would like to book a workshop using the new Build a Bear items that Stampin' Up! has to offer contact me to set it up and we will have a beary good time!

Here is a close up and little more detail of bear.

Thanks for looking and
have a great day!

Warm Red Flower- CAS29

Here is my card for this weeks Clean and Simple (CAS) card over at Splitcoast. It was an inspiration challenge from Anthropologie's Shoes & Bags section online.

I was inspired my this flower and this hat to make my card. I like the way my card looks very warm, just like the hat in the second picture of inspiration! What a fun Clean and Simple inspiration this week!

Here is a close up of the warm background I created by just rubbing the classic ink pad directly onto the card stock. I made the flower using the Layers Flower die and the big shot.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Here is the card I made for my Dad's birthday. My family owns a hardware store, so it is perfect! I saw a heart like this on the boards at convention, and remembered it and decided to make it for my Dad.

I used a lot of different things while "building" this card. I used the new Woodgrain Background stamp for the boards, Totally Tools stamp set for the tools, Brushed Silver card stock for the tool's accents, brads as the nails and Fundamental Phrases stamp set for the greeting.

I made the background by just taking a piece of Creamy Caramel card stock and rubbing the Creamy Caramel Classic Ink pad directly on the paper. I think it gave it a nice manly background...what do you think?

Here is a close up so you can see the detail a little better. What a fun card this was to make!

Club Members Creations

A little something different for you today! Last month at club I gave all the ladies two Summer Sun Daisies, die cut from the Big Shot, A length of the Chocolate Chip Stitched ribbon and a brown corduroy button and said next club bring something you make using all of theses supplies plus anything else you need to finish your project. So here is what they brought!

We had a lot of cute things! I loved seeing how everyone did something a little different and used their supplies!

That's it for today! Have a great day!

Bling on a Pedestal- CAS27

Here is my card for this past weeks Clean and Simple (CAS) challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. It was to add bling to your card. I usually don't do much bling, but I had fun with this one!

The stamp set On a Pedestal is so fun to stack up and make cakes with! I used the Melon Mambo DSP paired with Basic Black cardstock to give it a classy look...after all, it does have diamonds on it!

Here is a close up of the diamonds!

She's Beary Cute!- SSSC31

It has been a while since I have done one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges, so I thought I would give it a go. She has this fun sketch to work with this week. If you want to give it a try, just go see the details here.

I just got the cute new Build A Bear stamp set from SU, that will be available to order starting September 1 in the Holiday Mini, called Beary Best Friends. I thought it would be a great set to use with Karen's sketch, so here is what I came up with.
A little girl bear that is all ready to go to a "bearthday" party! I aqua painted her using the colors that cordinate with the Tea Party DSP that I used. The sentiment is from the stamp set Hugs & Wishes. I finished off the card by tying some of the White Satin Ribbon around a few of the layers!

Have a great week and thanks for looking!

Here is super cute and simple box to make using the Stampin' Up! Scallop Envelope Bigz die and your Big Shot!

I was looking around the stamping-blog-land and saw this great tutorial for this box. It was so easy and quick to make and I think it makes a great box for a little treat for a friend or family member.

Fresh Circles

Tomorrow is the first day of Stampin' Up!'s Convention so I thought I would show you one of the cards I will be swapping.
It uses the stamp set Circle Circus and the circle punches that coordinate with each circle. The colors are Bashful Blue, Going Grey, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Whisper White. I was inspired to use these colors when I saw them on a paint can in my family's Ace Hardware store. I thought they were very fresh and fun! The card measures 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" and still will fit into a standard envelope.

Bravo Lilly's- CCCCAct2

It's Sunday and that means it is time for another Curtain Call Color Challenge from Stacey! This week, Act 2, the colors were pulled from this towel set from Pottery Barn. The colors are Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Whisper White. These were fun colors to work with, go check out her blog and give it a try!

Here is what I came up with, a birthday card with some Bravo Burgundy water colored Lilly's (I am not sure if this picture does justice with the colors, it is an off day with the camera). I stamped the Lilly's, which are from the stamp set Fifth Avenue Floral, on water color paper using Black Staz On. Then I took my Bravo Burgundy Stampin write marker and traced the edge of some of the petals. Then I took my Aqua Painter pen and blended it all together. I used my So Saffron stampin write marker to make the middle of the Lilly's yellow.
In this close up, you can see that I stamped the same Lilly stamp in Versa Mark on the Bravo Burgundy card stock to add a little more detail. I matted the main image with the So Saffron and then Mellow Moss cardstock and then paper pierced around it with my paper peircing tool and added the 5/8" White Satin ribbon to finish it off.
