Emboss Resist Dasiy's on DSP

Here is my 6X6 Technique swap for Convention. The technique I did was Emboss Resist on Designer Series Paper.

Quick tutorial: you stamp a solid image using Versa Mark on to your Designer Series paper and then emboss it with clear embossing powder.
Then you take a sponge dauber and sponge all over the embossed image with a darker color than your paper to make the embossed image "pop" and you are done!

Here is a close up of the technique. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thanks!

Convention Matchbox Dressers

This is what I made for one of my organized Splitcoast Stampers swaps at convention this year. It is a 3D/Altered Item swap. So I will come home with 10 different 3D or altered items! I am looking forward to what everyone else made!

Here is a close up of one of the Matchbox Dressers. It is made using the Big Shot and the three Matchbox dies stacked on top of each other and then you decorate it as you want! There are so many things you can do with this cute dresser!

Blue Circle Circus- CCCCAct 1 and SSSC28

Hello! Stacey has her new Curtain Call Color Challenge, Act 1 up on her blog and what a great inspiration piece she has! I decided to pair her color challenge with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, number 28 (what a different sketch for me!).
Stacey's colors this week were Night of Navy, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White. When I saw Karen's sketch, I didn't know what I was going to do with the circles, but then I thought of the stamp set in the new catalog that I just got, Circle Circus and knew it would work great! So here is what I came up with. Pretty simple and quick card, but I think it works!
I stamped the Canvas background stamp with Not Quite Navy on the Not quite Navy card stock and then stamped two of the circles in Night of Navy and one in Not Quite Navy on Whisper White card stock and then used a few of my circles punches and punches them out. I mounted them with a few dimensionals and added them to the card. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and it was embossed with White embossing powder.
Here is a close up of the Canvas background stamp and the circles on dimensionals.

Bunny in a Basket for Grandma

Here is a card I sent my Grandma who just had hip surgery. I hope it brightened her day!

I Aqua painted the image that was stamped on Water Color paper using Black Staz On. The little "get well wishes" sentiment is from the new stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. The ribbon is White Taffeta and I used the Eyelet border punch to add a little detail to the Rose Red card stock. The card measures 4 1/4" X 4 1/4". It was a pretty simple card to make.

Old Fashion Cherry Blossoms- JCI46 and SoShelli.com

I had a little time to create a card, besides the ones that will be going to convention with me, today and decided to combine two challenges. I combined Stacey's Jewelery Color Inspiration #46 and the SoShelli.com Creative Challenge. The colors for Stacey's challenge were Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel and Very Vanilla and Shelli's challenge was to create a Birthday card (you can never have enough Birthday cards on hand)!

Here is what I came up with. I stamped the cherry blossom stamp from the Embrace Life stamp set on Water Color paper in Creamy Caramel ink. Then I used my Aqua painter and painted the flowers with Ruby Red and Not Quite Navy ink. I then used a toothbrush with watered down Creamy Carmel ink and "spattered" the image a bit. The "Happy Birthday" is from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set.
I used a Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware (Deal of the week this week!!) Designer holder to dress up the sentiment. The fibers on the side of the card are the Linen Thread and the Hemp Twine.

Here is a closer look at the tooth brush "spattering" on the Water Color paper.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Full of Buttons- JCI44

I was gone last week, so couldn't participate in Stacey's Jewelery Color Inspiration, so I was excited to get back to it this week! The jewelery this week is this necklace and the colors are Perfect Plum, Really Rust, More Mustard and Very Vanilla.

Here is what I cam up with, a card full of buttons! I made the buttons using my Big Shot and the Sizzlits Buttons #5 die. I then layered a few buttons on top each other and then sewed them together using Very Vanilla thread. I paper pierced a border around the main image.

The sentiment is from the new stamp set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. I know this is going to be a set that gets used a lot! I finished off the card by wrapping the Very Vanilla thread around the main image and adding a little knot.
