Fun Cupcake

Here is a birthday card I made using the cupcake from the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog. I stamped the cupcake on Riding Hood Red and then cut out the frosting and put it on the Kraft card stock. What a fun cupcake! The sentiment is from Upsy Daisy.

The colors on the card are Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Kraft and Basic Black. Remember that the in-colors are not here for much longer, they will retire with the catalog on June 30. I finished off the card with three white jumbo brads.

Thanks for looking!

Simple Fun Fishy Birthday- JCI41 and CAS19

Stacey has another great Jewelry Color Inspiration this week. The colors are Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun and Whisper White. These are such fun and bright colors to work with, go check out Stacey's blog and give it a try!
I saw the CAS19 (Clean and Simple #19) challenge over at Splitcoast, to make a card based on tashers card here, and decided to combine the two challenges into one card.

Here is what I came up with, A simple fun fishy birthday card! The card measures 4 1/4" X 4 1/4". The fish are from a stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog, that will be going away on June 30, called Just Beachy. The birthday hat is from the stamp set Crab and Company. The sentiment is from the set called All Holiday.

I colored the fish in using my Aqua painter. What a fun and quick card to make!

Thanks for looking!

p.s. Here is what we, my husband and I, did all day yesterday and will be doing all day today and who knows how much longer....

Totally Thanks

Here is a quick card I made for some thank yous from my husband. The card size is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".

I sent the Brushed Silver card stock through the Big Shot with the Harlequin embossing pad to give it the diamond plated look to give it more of a guys feel. I then stamped the tape measure from Totally Tools on the circle and then matted it with the black circle. I added the sentiment by stamping it on card stock and then cut it apart and placing it where I wanted it next to the tape.

Have a great day and thanks for looking!

An Ant's Lunch- Jewelery Color Inspiration #40

This weeks Jewelery Color Inspiration (it's #40!) from Stacey is this Springtime Garden Bracelet. The colors are Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. I thought of watermelon when I saw these colors and remembered that I saw this tutorial from Alison and decided to go with it!

Here is what I made. The card started off not having an ant and not having the saying "let's do lunch!" but I saw the saying (a rub on) and then thought an ant would be cute, so I made an ant and added it to the card! *I know the inspiration piece didn't have black in it..so I am kind of cheating... sorry!* I made the seeds by taking the smallest heart from the SU Three Heart punch and cut it in half, I think it worked out well!

Here is a close up of the watermelon and the little ant. You can see he already tasted the lunch to make sure it was good enough for you to eat too!

Thanks for looking!

Still here!

I hope some of you are still checking my blog! I didn't disappear, I have just not had time to blog...I can't tell you what else I have been doing, because I don't even really know!

**messy desk picture here...blogger or something must be having problems right now, my pic will not load!**

It looks like I have been stamping, doesn't it? My desk is a mess!! I need to clean it, because when it gets like this, I can't work. Maybe tomorrow!

I promises more cards to come this next week!

What? #2

What is that?

This is something I am working on. Do you know what it is? If you guess right, I will send you the finished product in the mail! You have until Friday, June 12 at 12 noon, mountain time, to post your guesses.

If there are multiple people who guess correct, then I will put those names in a hat a draw for who gets it. If there are multiple guesses that are close, I will choose the one that is the closest, so be sure to leave details on what you think it is!

Want to know what it is? After June 12, I will post the completed project right here on my blog, so come back and check it out!

PS. If you leave a comment, make sure I can get back to you somehow, like leave your e-mail address if you don't have a blog I can leave a comment on.

Thanks and good luck!

Choo Choo Train- Jewelry Color Inspiration #39

Stacey has some fun colors this week for her Jewelry Color Inspiration #39. They are Basic Black, Ridding Hood Red, Taken With teal, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. I saw these colors and thought "fun kid card" (I guess bright colors say kid to me!) and I have been wanting to use the Choo Choo stamp set in the Occasions Mini, so that is what I made and used.

Here is my card. This card went thought a few designs, before I came up with this one, but I think it turned out good. I stamped the train cars in the colors and then mounted them onto the Basic Black squares. The sentiment is from the Birthday Wish stamp set in the catalog under the under $10 section in the very back.

The background is the retired Canvas background stamped in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. The three little black circles are just circles punched out from a hole punch and glued on.

Thanks for looking!

Are you ready for another What? post? You better be, because one is coming your way soon!
