"Flamingo"- Jewelry Color Inspration #35

Another challenge! This one is from Stacey's Stamping Stage. She has a color challenge every week and gets the colors from jewelry, hence the name, Jewelery Color Inspiration #35 This week the colors were Cameo Coral, Ballet Blue, Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla (oh...and I did use a little black...hope that is ok).

These are not normal colors for me and I was having trouble with them , so I asked my husband what the colors reminded him of...and he replied in a smarty voice with "a flamingo playing in the grass and water." So off I went, to make a flamingo playing in the grass and water.

Here is my rendition of a flamingo playing in the grass and water! What do you think? My husband just started laughing and said "that is not a flamingo!!" :) Well it is as close as I could get using punches! I did have fun with this little "flamingo"!

The punches I used to make this guy were the Wide Oval and the Tab punch. I used the Scallop edge punch to make the Ballet Blue water and I cut the Kiwi Kiss grass with my scissors. As you can see in the close up picture, I used the Big Dots texture plate on the Very Vanilla background.

These challenges are always so fun to play with!

Thank for looking!

I think your flamingo is stinkin' cute! What a creative husband you have, too:) I may have to try that on mine sometime... Your creations are always awesome and clever! Thanks for playing in the JCI 35!
